Dude, I built a website!
Welcome to my personal site! It is chock-full of photos of the costumes I have made and worn throughout my years of going to fan-conventions. Hopefully they showcase both the art of the costumes and the art of the photographers and other amazing people who I work with. There are also lots of other projects (not costumes) here which celebrate my fandoms. I have (relatively recently) gotten into video projects and being a "YouTuber" as well - so this site really serves as a centralized hub for all the costume-related things I enjoy. Please take a look around, watch the videos, give me feedback - I've been costuming for a while now but web sites are still new to me, so let me know what you think!
Anime North, here we go!
Well, Anime North is once again approaching fast. I mentioned in my last post that I'm working on a prop for Pepper, but I'm putting some finishing touches on a few other projects too.
You might recall from VEDA that my Midna bodysuit got stained at PAX East a couple months ago - I've kept working on cleaning it since that video and I think it's as good as it's going to get now - hardly noticeable. So Midna is pretty much ready to go. I'll be wearing that costume only at the Cosplay for a Cure booth in the photo alley on Saturday. I'll be there from 1:00 (if not a little earlier) until.. I need dinner? lol. I'll be staying as long as I can; it will be several hours at least. Photos ops at the booth are available for a $2 donation, which goes directly to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
On Friday I'll be wearing my Katamari Cousin Mag along with Chibik3r0's and Scapegoated's Miso. I've made minor repairs to the head, and before the weekend I plan to finally make some bloomers to add to the costume, because they're cute and the costume's leggings don't fit very well XD
Assuming I get both the tablet and bloomers finished in time, I also want to get my onesie's hood done. That's a much bigger challenge since I haven't even gotten it past the sketch phase and into the pattern phase, but it might be possible considering I have the holiday Monday to work with. I want to get that done to have something comfy and cute to wear in the evenings when I'm done with Mag and Midna.
We shall see... While on paper I have 3.5 days to work on all this over this weekend, which should be more than enough, I keep ending up with more things to do, like helping out with a video project that Doc is doing, going to a volunteer event on the Hello, Harto! tour, and the last AN staff meeting before the con! (wish me luck ^_^)

One last thing - I debuted my Splicer (Bioshock-inspired) at Anime North last year, so it seems appropriate to finally update my costume gallery with group photos from SolarTempest, as well as photos of the "disgusting" FX makeup I did for the Silver Snail Halloween party. Check it out!
